Looking to acquire one great
Bay Area business

I'm Andy Anderson — a San Francisco-based operator with 20 years of roots here and a plan to buy and run one exceptional business for the long term. I'm not a fund. I'm a single buyer, using my own capital and SBA 7(a) financing, with no investment committee to slow things down.

What I'm looking for

I'm focused on established, profitable Bay Area businesses where the owner is ready for the next chapter. Here's what tends to be a strong fit.

Geography

Bay Area — within 1 hour of SF

I live in San Francisco and am committed to staying here. I'm looking for businesses within roughly an hour of the city.

Financials

$700K–$2M SDE

Consistently profitable, especially post-COVID. I look for a clean financial story with at least three years of operating history.

Business Type

Service-Based, Capex-Light

Service businesses with capital expenditures under 20% of EBITDA. I'm not looking for heavy manufacturing or capital-intensive operations.

Customer Base

Diversified Revenue

No single customer representing more than 25% of revenue. Concentrated customer risk is a non-starter for me.

Team & Leadership

Strong Existing Team

A capable leadership team in place is a major plus. I want to build on what's working, not rebuild from scratch.

Risk Factors

No Tariff or AI Exposure

I'm avoiding businesses with meaningful tariff exposure or high risk of AI disintermediation over the next 5–10 years.

Who I am

I'm Andy Anderson, Founder of Anderson Capital. I've spent over 15 years as an executive and owner operating small businesses — with real P&L responsibility, real teams, and real stakes. Before that, I spent six years in management consulting, where I developed the ability to quickly gain expertise across industries and help organizations grow. I hold an MBA from a top-tier institution.

I've lived in the Bay Area for nearly 20 years. I'm raising my family here, have served on nonprofit boards in the community, and have no plans to leave. When I acquire a business, I'm committing to it and to the people who built it — not looking for a quick exit.

This is a personal acquisition. I'm financing the purchase with a mix of my own capital and an SBA 7(a) loan. There is no fund, no LP, and no investment committee. I move on my own timeline and answer only to myself.

Let's connect

Working with me is straightforward

If you have a Bay Area business in my range, I'd welcome the conversation. Here's what you can expect.

01

24-hour response

I respond to every inquiry within one business day. If there's a fit, I'll sign an NDA and request a CIM the same day.

02

No committee required

I make my own decisions. Expect an IOI within two weeks of receiving a CIM — no approval chains, no delays.

03

Full fee, always

I respect your representation. I will never work around a broker relationship or negotiate your fee.
